Lockdown 2
So here we are about to go into lockdown again, this is what we propose:
Fruit, veg and household items will still be for sale so the shop will remain open. Most likely we will reduce the opening hours short term but will let you know. Click and
collect (or delivery) will be a buying option and to aid that we will post pictures one way or another.
We do have Christmas items in the shop now and will post details
Keep safe everyone
Self Isolating
Just a note for those self isolating
if there is anything you wish to buy at Country Matters from fruit and veg to store cupboard staples and then on to yarn, gifts and crockery there are two ways to go about it. On a Sunday you can make an appointment to have the shop to yourself (apart from me) to browse to your hearts content. If you would like items delivered then again the only person you will see if me when I deliver and I can also take contactless payment at that point.
To aid both those methods I will be posting an in depth video of our items for sale in the next couple of weeks.
I hope this helps
Helen

It seems like we’ve left summer behind so this week I’ve got cabbages, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, carrots etc for sale this week. No soft fruit but have mangoes, melon, apples
Yarn stocks - update
We still await our order of new yarns from King Cole, sad for us but great for them they have had unprecedented levels of orders and now have a backlog of around a week. Fingers crossed for a delivery at the end of this week
the yarn has landed!!

Nikki is in charge this morning - she’s our resident jam queen.
Coming soon or already in stock are:- marmalades, apricot jam, Black Forest jam, rhubarb jam, 4 berry jam, raspberry jam.
If you have a special request then pop down and
see her this morning
The Village store is restocked! Toilet roll, bleach, washing up liquid, fabric conditioner, antibacterial spray, tissues, cling film, kitchen roll, freezer bags, gloves (at the old price!), honey, marmalade, jams, Mrs Middleton’s oils and flour, basic plain flour, pasta, baked beans, chopped tomatoes, garlic purée, salt, pepper and last but not least CHOCOLATE

LOCKDOWN
Please note that during lockdown I am running a pop up shop on Thursdays and Fridays to sell fruit and veg, open 11.30 - 1.30
|If you would like to buy anything else then this can be ordered and then collected and paid for (card payments preferred) outside of the main shop. As an alternative I can also deliver - free within a 5 mile radius and then a small charge thereafter.
